On Thursday 29th May we collected our caravan in Chorley and continued our journey South to brands Hatch, which was to take 7 hours in total. It was the first time we were attending a race meeting with our own transport and accomadation. The previous 3 meetings sponsor Paul Hibbott (Swims Cool) had kindly lent us his Motor Home and Trailer Tent.

16th May (test day)
I woke up Friday morning hoping to have a good days testing learning to track I’ve never rode ready for the weekends racing. After about 3 sessions out on track I realised that Cadwell Park was a very technical circuit and that I needed to put a lot of effort into it to come up with good results. Throughout the day my progression was significant and I ended up changing my gearing to suit how I was riding the circuit. My laps times were good and that gave me confidence into Saturdays qualifying and racing.

17th May (race day 1)

I arrived at the famous Oulton Park Thursday evening ready for test day Friday where I was going to learn this beautiful circuit ready for Saturdays racing. Friday morning was a clear fresh one. I got out on circuit at 9.00am and it was amazing. Long, fast, twisting corners as well as long, fast straights. I loved this circuit. The afternoon was twice as good as the weather was warmer and I was getting more confident each lap.

On Saturday morning when I arrived for the test day the weather didn't look very clever. But in the morning the track dried out and I was putting some good times against other super-teen riders which gave me a bit more confidence into Sunday’s race.

As my first race of the season is at Malloy Park i thought it would be best to get as many laps at the circuit before the race to familiarise myself with lines, corners etc. The circuit was open for all bikes Wednesday afternoon so My grandad, uncle and i travelled down to get some more laps done.
